License Management Module
License Management Module Overview
LM is responsible for providing the license to CDRv5 Client and Connectors transparently. When a CDRv5 Client / Connector is started. It connects to the LM module to request a license.
The license is assigned to a computer using its Windows computer name. If a license is available for the requesting computer, the license data is sent to the computer which saves it in a local file for future use (in case the server connection becomes unavailable).
In case of failure, LM adds the computer name to a list of outstanding request. This list is available to the Site Administrator who can either assign a license to that computer or inform the user to remove the CDRv5 software.
